ID cards already issued in Ukraine

The State Migration Service of Ukraine has started to issue the internal passports of citizen of Ukraine in form of an ID card for persons who have reached the age of 16 years
Earlier, Chairman of the State Migration Service Maksym Sokoliuk noted that the documents would be primarily issued free of charge to people who get the passport of the citizen of Ukraine for the first time.
Sokoliuk noted that replacing the old paper passports with the ID cards required passing the bill No. 3224 on amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the documents certifying the citizenship of Ukraine, identity or special status.
The Parliament of Ukraine may pass the necessary bill in late January, Sokoliuk hopes.
