Every eight child suffered from conflict in eastern Ukraine – Kuleba

In Ukraine, every eighth child suffered from the armed conflict in the Donbas.

As reported by the Ukrinform news agency, this was stated, on Friday, in the Kherson by Mykola Kuleba, the President’s commissioner for children’s rights in Ukraine.

“Up to date, around one in eight of Ukrainian children have been affected by the conflict in the east. Almost 250,000 children are internally displaced persons. And 100,000 are living near the frontline of fighting”, – said Kuleba.

According to him, at the present time the number of child population in Ukraine is 7.6 million people.
