On Sunday militants shelled “Marinka” checkpoint
On Sunday evening, militants shelled “Marinka” checkpoint, shells exploded 20 meters from the checkpoint.
As reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
“On Sunday evening, militants opened fire from the side of Oleksandrivka, which is located on the uncontrolled territory, residential area and in the direction of “Marinka” checkpoint. Militants fired from the small arms and grenade launchers. About 10 shells exploded in 50 meters from the checkpoint. None of the Ukrainian soldiers were injured”, – said in a statement.
Border guards reminded that militants have repeatedly shelled “Marinka” checkpoint since the beginning of the month.
“In addition, terrorists have recently opened fire from mortars and large-caliber weapons on the same checkpoint. Then one of the service modules was damaged, it was later replaced, and another module had to be repaired”, – reminded the border guards.
