Crimean Tatars being searched in Crimea
Russian security forces make a search at a house of Crimean Tatar Refat Mazalov in the occupied Crimea.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Kurultai (council) of the Crimean Tatar People Zair Smedliayev posted this on his Facebook page.
“The search is going on in the house of Refat Mazalov at 6 Fidanlar Street in Bakhchisarai. The armed men in balaclavas and in special vehicle cordoned off the surrounding area,” he wrote.
At the same time, it is reported on the Crimean Political Prisoners page in social network that “Mazalov was taken to the Bakhchisarai police station without explanations.”
“Video shooting was carried out when Mazalov was being taken away. The OMON riot police officers demanded to remove the video. Refat Mazalov is now in the Bakhchisarai police station,” reads the post.
