The new wave of repressions against the Crimean Tatars, caused by the “Civil Blockade of Crimea” action, has started in Crimea.

This is stated in the report of the Crimean Human Rights Group.

In particular, November 2, the security forces officers searched the apartments of director of the Quin Media (the Crimean branch of the ATR TV channel) Elzara Islyamova, deputy director general Lilya Budzhurova, and the house of Edem Islyamov, father of the ATR owner.

In addition, unfounded detentions and inspections took place.

In particular, November 23, the Russian Security Service officers detained Ilyas Khalilov and took him in an unknown direction.

November 24, activist of the Crimea-based Ukrainian Cultural Centre Veldar Shukurdzhiev was arrested without explanation by the guards at the administrative border. He was released early in the morning the next day.

In general, the human rights activists mentioned seven cases of repressions against Crimean Tatars in the report for November.

Earlier, the Human Rights Information Centre reported that the activists had created the interactive map of human rights violations in Crimea.
