Crimean Tatar tortured in Dzankoy – Dzhemilev
Crimean Tatar Enver Krosh was abducted and tortured in Dzhankoy, Crimea.
The law enforcement officers illegally detained Krosh and brought him to the police department where the officers of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) tried to persuade him to cooperate with them, MP Mustafa Dzhemilev posted on Facebook.
“Having got no expected results, the FSB officers tortured Enver Krosh with electric shock,” he wrote.
According to him, it happened at 16:30 on December 16. Krosh was released in the morning of December 17 while he was reminded: “You have wife, children, relatives… think about it, think about our proposal.”
“It is not the first case of the blatant recruitment with the use of different methods of intimidation and blackmail, but it is the first incident of the use of torture,” Dzhemilev summed up.
Earlier, the Human Rights Information Centre stated that Russia continued persecuting the minorities in Crimea.
