Ukraine has failed to implement such goals of the Euromaidan protests as systemic combating corruption, eliminating of corrupt, non-transparent schemes, punishing the perpetrators of crimes against Maidan, and holding liable representatives of the previous rule.

This is stated in the results of the poll, conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation.

Some experts indicate there is no systemic reform process, relevant to the society, and full “reboot of the government.”

The interviewed experts believe that the Maidan won on the whole. The main objectives of the Revolution of Dignity have been achieved, as the state leadership was changed, the European integration course was renewed, and the Association Agreement with the EU was signed.

In addition, the start of lustration of the authorities, growing proactive attitude of the society, and self-organization of the people are named among the achievements of the Revolution of Dignity by the experts.

The expert opinions were divided on the issue of the third Maidan over the next two years.

Thus, half of them believe that such developments are quite possible while some experts consider them to be unlikely.

Among the causes of possible new mass protests, the experts primarily name the lack of progress in the implementation of essential reforms and corresponding tangible changes in the lives of ordinary citizens. The third Maidan could be also provoked by aggravating socio-economic crisis, impoverishment of people, and further flourishing of total corruption in the country.

The poll was conducted among 31 experts on November 16-19, 2015.
