Teen dies from injuries in Russian Strike on Sumy, death toll rises to six
A teenager injured in a Russian strike on Sumy on June 3, 2025, died in the hospital, bringing the death toll from that attack to six, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration.
“A 17-year-old boy, who was injured in the enemy attack on Sumy on June 3, died in the hospital. Doctors fought for his life for almost a week,” Hryhorov wrote, adding that the death toll from the Russian attack rose to six people.
By way of background, on June 3, Russian forces struck central Sumy using a long-range multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
