Parties to conflict in Donbas bring positions nearer to each other – OSCE
The parties to the conflict in Donbas bring their positions nearer to each other, causing violence.
This was stated by Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug, Radio Liberty reports.
“The sides are moving closer to each other. There is a response to every step forward. Violence arises,” Hug said.
He also added that tense situation remained near Debaltseve, Yasynuvata and Avdiyivka in Donetsk region.
In addition, Hug noted that the monitors had spotted over 100 explosions in Svitlodarsk, Donetsk region, the other day.
In January, the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk reached another ceasefire agreement in a combat zone in eastern Ukraine from January 14. However, the parties to the conflict have repeatedly accused each other of violating the ceasefire since then.
