Russians target aid queue in Kharkiv Oblast: five dead, four wounded
Russian forces killed five people and injured five more when they struck Novoplatonivka village and the Kupiansk bridge in Kharkiv Oblast on July 29, 2025, according to the Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office.

“Investigation shows that at approximately 10:30 on July 29, the armed forces of the Russian Federation struck the village of Novoplatonivka in Borova, a local government area that includes one or more nearby settlements, of Izium District.
Investigators identified a hit near the store where people were receiving water as humanitarian aid. A fire broke out, engulfing the store and a parked car.
Two women and three men died. The attack injured four additional people.”
Russian forces used multiple-launch rocket systems in the attack, preliminary reports suggest.
A Russian first-person view (FPV) drone also hit the city of Kupiansk around 17:30, injuring a 39-year-old man.
