Russians kills at least 7, wounds 51 Ukrainians in massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine
Russians killed at least seven people, including two children, during intense Russian drone and missile strikes on Ukraine, Ukrainian officials say.

A kindergarten was hit in Ukraine’s second biggest city, Kharkiv, and there was widespread damage in Kyiv. Children were among the 51 people wounded, BBC News reported.
Hours earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his plans for an imminent summit in Budapest with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin had been shelved, as he did not want a “wasted meeting.” The Kremlin has rejected calls for a ceasefire along the current front lines made by Trump and European leaders. Donald Trump also didn’t impose harsh sanctions against Russia as he announced earlier.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the attacks proved Moscow had not come under enough pressure for its continued war.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine and Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, reported that Russian attacks killed four people, including two children, in Kyiv Oblast.
Among the victims were a 36-year-old woman, a six-month-old baby, and a girl, aged 12, when a Russian strike set fire to their house in the village of Pohreby, just to the north of the capital. A man in the village later died of his injuries.
Olha Stefanishyna, a member of Parliament from the Holos (Voice) party, said debris from a Russian Shahed drone hit her residential building in Kyiv while she and her children were inside their apartment during the overnight attack.
“Last night, debris from a Shahed hit our building in Rusanivka. Fortunately, it struck a non-residential part of the building, and no one was injured. My children and I were sheltering in the bathroom – it was very loud. By morning, we saw photos of the aftermath,” she said.

The number of wounded following the Russian drone strike on a kindergarten and nearby houses in the Kholodnohirskyi District of Kharkiv has risen to nine people.
The Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office released surveillance video footage capturing the moment of the Russian strike on a private kindergarten on October 22.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported that a 40-year-old man was killed in that attack.
A store, a cafe, an office building, and six cars were damaged. Three separate fires broke out, the largest of which was a 500 square meter blaze in the kindergarten building. Forty-eight children were in the shelter at the time of the strike, and rescuers, police, and volunteers quickly evacuated them to safety.

Russian forces launched nine kamikaze drone strikes on the territory of Zaporizhzhia. Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, stated that the number of wounded following the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia on the night of October 22 has risen to 15 people, including three children.
Fedorov said medical assistance was required for two infants: a seven-month-old boy was hospitalized, while a six-month-old child will receive treatment at home after being provided with initial aid. A 13-year-old boy is also under medical supervision.
Most of the wounded were diagnosed with shrapnel injuries, concussions, and smoke inhalation. Fedorov stated that the lives of the wounded are not in danger.
Ukraine’s air force said Russia had sent 405 drones and 28 missiles, 15 of which were ballistic.
Across Ukraine, Russian attacks once again targeted energy infrastructure, and emergency power outages were imposed in several areas.
