The Russians launched a missile strike on a nine-storey building in the city of Dnipro. They killed one person and injured twelve civilians, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported.

According to the correspondents of Suspilne, four stories of the building were destroyed, with the fifth damaged. The State Emergency Service and police launched a rescue operation and halted traffic along nearby streets.

People are stuck in their collapsed apartments. The workers rescued one man from a car. He was covered in parts of a destroyed house.

Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, reported that three civilians are in serious condition. They are two women, 27 and 30, and a 29-year-old man. The rest are in moderate condition.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on X that this attack is a reminder to all partners of Ukraine that only sufficient quantity and quality of air defense systems and the world’s determination can stop Russian terror.

“We need these decisions. We need a reliable air shield for Ukraine,” he worte.

Earlier, the 24th Mechanised Brigade showed on its Facebook page how the Russian army targets Chasiv Yar with a TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system.

According to its statement, in order to oust the Ukrainian military, the Russians are destroying the city with a Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system. TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems, which use thermobaric warheads, have a significant “destructive effect” due to the much more powerful damaging force and the explosive wave than conventional explosives of the same size.

The brigade pointed out that because of the indiscriminate nature of this weapon’s operation, its employment near civilian settlements is prohibited by the Geneva Convention.

Due to combined Russian Armed Forces attacks, the coalition of human rights organisations “Ukraine. 5 a.m.” appealed to partner countries to intensify their actions for providing air defense systems that should protect civilians and objects under the protection of international humanitarian law.
