The Russian armed forces have attacked a frontline village in the Polohy District in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast with guided bombs, killing a nine-year-old girl and injuring a 16-year-old boy, according to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration.

“A nine-year-old girl has been killed and a 16-year-old boy injured. This is the aftermath of the enemy attack on a frontline village in the Polohy district,” Fedorov wrote.
He also reported that Russia had targeted residential buildings with guided bombs. The attack destroyed one house. The blast wave damaged several other houses, cars, and outbuildings.
ZMINA continues to report on the ongoing international crimes in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
On May 29, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian Federation has not handed over its so-called “memorandum” to the United States, Ukraine, or Türkiye despite earlier promises to do so.
“Words do not work with Moscow. Even the so-called ‘memorandum’ they promised and supposedly spent over a week preparing, no one has seen it yet. It has not been shared with Ukraine. It has not been shared with our partners. They haven’t even shared the new agenda with Türkiye – the country that hosted the first meeting. Although they promised the exact opposite, and above all, they promised it to the United States and President Trump. Another Russian deception,” the President said
He added that the Russians are doing everything they can to make the meetings meaningless, which is another reason to strengthen sanctions pressure against them.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has called on X (Twitter) for a strong response to a statement by Russia’s UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya, who has declared that Moscow intends to fight “as long as necessary.”
Sybiha drew attention to Nebenzya’s statements at a UN Security Council meeting, in which he affirmed Russia’s intention “to continue and step up military activities as long as necessary.”
“When the entire world insists that it is time to stop the killing immediately and engage in meaningful diplomacy, Russia uses the highest fora to spew such belligerent rhetoric,” Minister Sybiha said.
Sybiha called Nebenzya’s words a “slap in the face to all who advocate for peace”.
“Not just Ukraine but also the United States, European countries, China, Brazil, and others,” he added.
