Russian attacks kill three civilians in Myrnohrad, Donetsk Oblast; drone hits civilian car
Russian forces killed three civilians in the city of Myrnohrad, in the Donetsk Oblast, on April 22, according to the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office.
Russians launched an attack on a residential area in Myrnohrad on the morning of April 22, killing a 72-year-old man. Authorities are currently working to identify the type of weapon used in the strike.
At 12:30 am, Russians targeted a civilian car with an FPV drone at the city entrance, killing a 63-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man.
The attacks also damaged a house and a car in the settlement.
The Pokrovsk District Prosecutor’s Office has initiated pre-trial investigations into these incidents as war crimes.
By way of background, Serhii Horbunov, Head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, reported that on April 19, 2025, Russian forces used the FAB-250 bomb on the town of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk Oblast. Earlier on the 19th, two more people were wounded in separate Russian attacks.
This Russian attack damaged 11 private houses and 4 DTEK power lines. Emergency workers were conducting rescue operations to free trapped victims. These efforts had been hampered by another FPV drone strike on fiber optic lines at the location.
On other relevant war news, the European Union’s chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas, asserted that the United States had not employed its tools to pressure Russia into agreeing to cease its full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
In an interview with AFP, she stated that Russia’s announcement of an “Easter ceasefire” over the weekend was a ploy directed at US President Donald Trump.
Kallas further added that Russia was engaging in games, stalling for time, and did not genuinely desire peace, as it believed time was in its favor, thus exhibiting no positive signs or goodwill.
