A man died and ten others including a baby suffered injuries as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike on the terminal of the Nova Poshta courier service in Kharkiv on Sunday.
Oleh Syniehubov, the head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, reported on Telegram that the guided aerial bomb strike on Kharkiv caused a fire in a non-residential civilian building, destroying a post office and seven trucks.
Russians killed one employee of the Nova Poshta and injured others, including an eight-month-old toddler.
Later, firefighters contained the fire.
Syniehubov added that nine more people might have been on site during the strike. The search for them continues. The Russians also struck a car park, destroying eight cars and damaging dozens more.
The Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office stated that Russia launched the attack around 16:30 EET from the village of Nizhny Olshanets in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast.
The Russian guided bomb hit an area several metres away from the Nova Poshta depot in Kharkiv’s Slobidskyi district.
One civilian was killed and another nine injured, including an eight-month-old infant.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview to Trudy Rubin, columnist of The Philadelphia Inquirer stated that Ukraine’s NATO membership would not only guarantee the security of Ukraine but also that of Russia.
He emphasised that Ukraine needs security: “I am once again stressing what some of our partners in the US and in Europe are afraid of – it’s Ukraine’s NATO membership. NATO membership is good not just for Ukraine; it would provide security for Russia. The war will end.”
By way of background, the Russian Federation remains impervious to calls from various countries and international organisations to halt its war against the Ukrainian people and restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
Previously, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to world leaders who are still not on board with the Global Peace Summit to join the collective effort. He called on them to show leadership in advancing real peace, not just a pause between strikes.
Zelenskyy expressed confidence that the efforts of the global majority are the best guarantee that all commitments will be fulfilled.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, stated Ukraine realises the war will end with negotiations. Therefore, it is preparing and promoting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s peace formula.
