Russia strikes family car on Odesa bridge, killing mother and wounding three children
Russian forces struck a civilian vehicle in Odesa Oblast, killing a mother and injuring her three children, according to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Oblast Military Administration. Traffic on the Odesa-Reni roadway has been temporarily suspended in both directions.
A Russian attack drone hit a civilian vehicle driving across a bridge in the Odesa District. A woman and her three children were in the car. The mother sustained severe injuries and died in the ambulance. Her three children were taken to a hospital with bodily injuries and acute stress reactions. Doctors are providing them with the necessary medical care.
Kiper said this is yet another cynical war crime by Russia – a strike on civilians.
He also asked drivers to refrain from using the bridge in the area of the Dniester Estuary near the village of Maiaky. Russia has attacked this section three times, and traffic is difficult. The road through Maiaky is the only roadway connecting the city of Odesa and the south of Odesa Oblast.
Kiper also reported that traffic on the Odesa-Reni roadway has been temporarily halted in both directions.
