Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that 100 days have passed since Ukraine accepted the US proposal for an unconditional ceasefire, but the Russian Federation continues to ignore calls to stop the shelling and killing of civilians.

This person died as a result of the Russian attack on Sumy on April 13, 2025.

Discussions about concluding a peace agreement in Russia’s war against Ukraine intensified after Donald Trump was re-elected as US president.

Despite talks between Moscow and Kyiv in Istanbul, Türkiye, the Russian military not only did not stop the shelling, but also escalated it, with the number of attacks increasing tenfold in some regions.

During this time, a number of cities have suffered deadly attacks, such as those in April and June in Kyiv, in April in Kryvyi Rih, where many children were killed, and on Palm Sunday in Sumy, where there were two strikes on the city center.

The Russian leadership is not hiding the fact that it is deliberately targeting civilians and calls such strikes “retaliation.”

Due to Russia’s tactics, this year the number of civilian casualties and injuries has increased dramatically. Russia uses weapons with a wide area of destruction, double-tappingі , and equipping missiles with metal fragments and explosives, increased the scale of damage.

Russians have not stopped their drone terror in the Kherson Oblast, where they drop explosives from drones on civilians, medical staff, or emergency workers. As a result, elderly people living in danger near the front line are left without medical assistance. As a result of drone attacks in the region, over two thousand people were killed and injured last year alone.

The Russian military is now more actively using drone attacks on civilian targets in other regions, such as the Sumy Oblast, where a drone hit a bus in May.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, recalling the 100 days that Russia has ignored attempts to establish peace, called on the world to increase pressure on Putin’s regime.

“It has been exactly 100 days since Russia has been rejecting this basic first step toward peace,” Sibiha emphasized.

It should be noted that since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, experts have said that world leaders have distanced themselves from defending human rights. Democratic leaders are also not paying enough attention to the problem of corruption spreading around the worldі .

Regarding Trump’s second presidential term and his first 100 days in office, analysts believe that during this time, the decline in human rights has become global.
