Russia says it detains another alleged ‘spy’ in Crimea
Russia claims it has detained a citizen of Ukraine, who is allegedly an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
This is reported by RIA Novosti news agency with reference to its sources in the law enforcement agencies.
“A suspected employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry was detained in Simferopol. He had a grenade, a gun, and elements for making an improvised explosive device,” the source said.
As reported, the Russia’s Federal Security Service stated about the alleged detention on November 9 in Sevastopol of so-called “terrorist group of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukraine’s Defence Ministry” who allegedly planned to “commit acts of sabotage at the military infrastructure facilities of Crimea.”
According to the media reports, the experts of the Nomos think tank Oleksiy Bessarabov, Dmytro Shtyblikov, Vladymyr Dudko were detained.
This is the second attempt of Russia to accuse Ukraine of plotting the acts of sabotage.
As reported, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced in August that Yevhen Panov and Andriy Zakhtey were accused of alleged plotting terrorist acts in the occupied Crimea.
