Russia reports on resumption of electricity supply to Crimea

The Energy Ministry of Russia confirms the restoration of electricity supplies to the annexed Crimea from Ukraine.

This was reported by the Ministry’s press service.

“At 01:37, December 8, the 220 kV Kakhovka-Tytan-Krasnoperekopsk power line was reconnected to the power grid,” reads the statement.

According to the Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation, as of 7:00 Moscow time, the electricity supply for all Crimea consumers was carried out in full, and the flow of electricity from Ukraine amounted to 104 MWs.

As reported, the pylons were blown up in Kherson region on Saturday, November 21.

By midnight Moscow time on Saturday, almost the entire Crimea was left without electricity.

November 21, the Crimean Tatar activists, who tried to prevent the repair of the damaged pylons, were surrounded by the security service officers.
