Ukraine’s National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting bans 13 Russian channels

The National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine has banned 13 Russian TV channels from retransmitting in Ukraine.

According to BBC Ukraine, the list of the banned channels includes: Radost Moya, Muzyka Pervogo, Ocean-TV, HD Life, TDK (Televizionnyi Damskyi Klub), 24 Dok, Detskiy, STV, India TV, Zdorovoye Televideniye, Lia-minor TV, Evrokino, Drive TV channels.

 The Ukrainian providers must eliminate the mentioned channels from their TV packages within a month.

According to the board members, in the course of monitoring of the viewing grid of the mentioned TV channels, the National Council recorded the films which threatened the national security of Ukraine and the advertising not adapted to the requirements of the Ukrainian legislation.
