From mid-April to December 1, 2016, at least 9,758 people were killed, including more than 2,000 civilians, informs the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in the report.

Near 22,800 people were injured.

Between August 16 and November 15, the Commissioner documented the death of 32 civilians (10 women, 21 men, and 1 child) as a result of the conflict. Simultaneously, 132 persons were injured (44 women, 77 men, 7 children and 4 adults of an unknown sex).

It says that the number of the injured are 13% less than in the previous period between May 16-August 15. Then, the Commissioner recorded 188 victims among civilians (28 dead and 160 wounded).

According to EFE Agency, the WorldWide organization noted that both sides of the conflict “do not take enough precautionary steps to avoid the destruction of basic services like schools, kindergartens, and hospitals”.

The UN expressed concerns that the IDPs in Donetsk and Luhansk do not enjoy the freedom of movement and ‘do not receive social benefits”, such as pensions.

It is also concerned about the conditions of detention, because the detainees may suffer from tortures and other inhuman behavior.

In the mid of September, the UN informed about 9,640 dead in the conflict.
