As of January 16 Ministry of Social Policy has counted 1.6 million displaced persons
As of January 16, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has registered 1,650,410 internally displaced persons from the zone of antiterrorist organization and territory of Crimea, which was annexed by the Russia.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.
The Ministry clarified that they are generally referring to 1,329,425 families from the Donbas and the Crimea. 1,123,964 families have applied for the assistance, 1,037,360 of them received the assistance.
In the December 2016, the Ukrainian government, with the support the support of the European Union, announced the creation of the information database of the internally displaced persons.
As a reminder, as of October 17, the Ministry of Social Policy has registered 1,681,723 internally displaced persons.
In particular, 1,360,898 families of displaced persons were registered, 1,014,545 families have applied for social assistance to pay for the rental and 936,054 families have received such assistance.
