Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to gather evidence of racial discrimination against Crimean Tatars
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine intends to gather evidence of racial discrimination against the Crimean Tatars by so-called authorities of the annexed Crimea.
As Interfax-Ukraine news agency reports, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this on the air of ATR TV channel on Wednesday night.
Klimkin called on Crimean Tatars residing in Crimea to submit information on cases of racial discrimination to the Foreign Ministry.
“We need to gather and systematize all the incidents in order to show that it is the issue of racial discrimination,” Klimkin said.
According to him, this information may further serve as the evidence of systematic racial discrimination in Crimea waged by the self-proclaimed authorities for the international courts.
The Minister also suggested the need for making movies like “Haytarma” (the movie about the deportation of Crimean Tatars by Soviet authorities in 1944), but about the present situation of the Crimean Tatars.
