The bill providing for introduction of quotas for Crimean residents to enroll in Ukrainian universities has been registered in the Parliament.

This was announced by Education and Science Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit, Radio Liberty reports.

In addition, the bill provides for the right of the establishments to determine the qualification of the Crimean residents, who got education during the occupation.

The bill has two main positions. You know that we do not recognize any documents with seals of the occupation authorities. Therefore, this bill provides for the right of the Education Ministry to recognize not the diplomas but the qualifications of school graduates who want to enter the Ukrainian universities. In addition, the bill provides for the quotas for Crimean residents. I believe this to be very important at the moment,” the Minister said.

As reported, the Education Ministry allowed distance studying of the Crimean residents in Ukrainian schools.
