MP Leshchenko: Ukrainian anti-corruption activists spied upon
Serhiy Leshchenko, the MP from the Block of Petro Poroshenko faction, states that anti-corruption activists in Ukraine are illegally spied upon, wiretapped, and the confidential data are being collected.
Leshchenko said this at a briefing on Monday, Interfax-Ukraine news agency reports.
“I want to reveal some facts, which I kept silence about earlier. We, the anti-corruption activists, are illegally spied upon, our telephone conversations are wiretapped, the information and confidential data are being collected illegally. The news covering I bought an apartment was released on the Internet a few hours after I had concluded the purchase contract. The confidential information was obtained illegally and used by corrupt officials, who I am fighting against, for manipulations,” Leshchenko said.
“People of Kononenko, Hranovsky, Martynenko pave the ways to further attacks, because millions and billions of funds stolen from the state budget are at stake now. Everything that is happening to us is the result of the policy, professed by the President. To sick law enforcement agencies, Ukraine’s Security Service, the prosecutor’s office on the anti-corruption activists, who expose their actions. The counter-revolution of corrupt officials is happening in Ukraine now,” Leshchenko said.
As a reminder, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted an audit of the fact of purchase an apartment in Kyiv city center by Ukrainian MP Serhiy Leshchenko. At a briefing on Monday, director of NABU Artem Sytnik said that there were signs of an administrative offense in the fact of purchase. The violation lies in raising an interest-free loan from head of the Ukrayinska Pravda online newspaper Olena Prytula.
