Crimean Tatars hold ‘Find Ervin’ action near Moscow Kremlin
The Crimean Tatar activists have hung banners with a photo of missing human rights activist Ervin Ibragimov near the premises of the Kremlin in Moscow to draw attention to abductions and murders of Crimean Tatars in Crimea.
Leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev posted this on his Facebook page.
The relevant video was posted on YouTube.
The banners urging “Find Ervin” had hung for only a few hours before they were tore down by FSB-controlled city services.
The activists remind that Crimean Tatar human rights defender Ervin Ibragimov was kidnapped by unknown people wearing the uniform of the traffic police in the occupied Crimean town of Bakhchisarai on May 24, 2016.
The official investigation is not conducted. The Simferopol branch of the Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) refused to accept report on kidnapping and corresponding video footage from the Ervin’s relatives.
The human rights activists urge to share the video so that the call for help and justice would be heard.
As a reminder, 22 people, most of whom are Crimean Tatars, are considered to be missing in the Russian-annexed Crimea, the Mejlis reports.
