Ukraine’s Constitutional Court approves updated draft amendments to Constitution

The Constitutional Court of Ukraine has stated that the updated draft law on the amendments to the Constitution relating to judiciary complies with Article 157 and 158 of the Fundamental Law.

The Constitutional Court made such a conclusion public at today’s meeting, having examined the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada, Interfax-Ukraine news agency reports.

As reported, January 22, the Constitutional Court recognized the draft amendments to the Constitution relating to judiciary constitutional.

The Constitutional Court of Ukraine made public the findings on the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on compliance of the draft law on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (relating to judiciary) with the requirements of Articles 157 and 158 of the Fundamental Law.

January 28, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine sent an alternative version of the bill on amendments to the Constitution relating to judiciary to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
