Fourteen wards of Kyiv remand prison banned from using
Fourteen wards were banned from using in the Kyiv remand prison after the check of the incarceration conditions.
The check was carried out by the Central Office of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv.
During the check, the experts studied the health service support of prisoners, their living conditions, the organization of regime and security, and the like.
The Prosecutor’s Office representative noted that seven isolation wards and seven ordinary wards did not comply with the laws and the European penitentiary rules on incarceration conditions.
