Candidates for anti-corruption prosecutor post not to pass lie detector test
The commission for election of the anti-corruption prosecutor refused to arrange a lie detector test for the candidates for the post of head of the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office.
This was announced by commission’s secretary Vitaly Shabunin, the Ukrayinska Pravda (Ukrainian Truth) online newspaper reports.
“The decision on lie detector test was failed,” he said.
As a reminder, earlier, a number of commission members stated they would insist on lie detector test. In particular, Yosyf Zisels and Yevhen Nishchuk said they had such intention.
The commission will hold the final vote on the candidacy of anti-corruption prosecutor at 12:00 on Friday. The vote will result in submitting several candidates to the Prosecutor General, who will take the final decision.
