ECHR to consider over 2,000 applications over conflict in Ukraine

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) will consider over 2,000 applications over events in Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

This was announced by ECHR press officer Nina Salomon, Ukrinform news agency reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the Court has received about 450 applications from eastern Ukraine. Some of them are against Ukraine, some are against Ukraine and Russia. As of now, no decisions on their admissibility have been taken,” the Court’s representative noted.

According to her, the ECHR is considering over 2,000 of individual applications over the conflict in Ukraine in general.
