Injury toll rises to 74 after Russian strike on residential area in Kryvyi Rih
The number of people injured in the Russian attacks on Kryvyi Rih on April 4, 2025, has risen to 74 people, with 37 remaining hospitalized, according to Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Military Administration.
“The latest data indicates that the number of people injured in the missile attack on Kryvyi Rih is 74. 37 people remain in hospital, five of them are children,” he wrote.
Earlier, on Saturday afternoon, Lysak reported that 17 people were in serious condition.
Oleksandr Vilkul, Head of the Kryvyi Rih City Defence Council, reported that among the injured are 11 children.
ZMINA reported that on the evening of 4 April, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. Russians killed 18 people, including nine children.
Later that day, Russians also struck Kryvyi Rih with a UAV. The second attack killed a woman and injured seven people.
According to the local news outlet”Svoi.Kryvyi Rih,” one of the victims of the Russian strike was three-year-old Tymofii.

Attempts were made to resuscitate the boy, but his mother, Valeria, reported that he did not survive.
Tymofii and his grandmother were returning home from the playground at the time of the strike. His mother, Valeria, was at home then but immediately ran outside to her family after the shelling.
According to news outlet, Tymofii barely had a pulse. The boy was taken away by an ambulance.
“Tymofiyko was a very energetic child, fascinated with space and space rockets. He loved collecting ladybugs and various beetles,” the boy’s mother recalls.
On April 7, Suspilne broadcaster reported that Kryvyi Rih has bid farewell to 15-year-olds Danylo Nikitskyy and Alina Kutsenko. These teenagers died as a result of the Russian ballistic missile strike on April 4th.

The teenagers were a couple in love and, according to “Suspilne,” met for a date after school on the day of the tragedy. At the moment of the strike, they were holding hands near a playground.
Danylo Nikitskyy was a student at Gymnasium No. 93, and Alina Kutsenko at Gymnasium No. 113. Both were the only children in their families. Now, the beloved couple will be buried together.
