The GPU will question Yanukovych as a suspect
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine will question the former president of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych as a suspect in a treason.
He is summoned for questioning and other prosecutorial acts on December 5 and 9 at 10 am.
Yanukovych has to arrive at the office of the head of the investigative department of the Main military prosecution of GPU in Kyiv.
Notifications, published on the GPU’s website, were sent to three known addresses – in Kyiv, in Novi Petrivtsi (Kyiv oblast) and in Rostov-on-Don in Russia.
As we know, on November 28 the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko declared suspicions to Yanukovych, when the latter had a video conference with the Svyatoshyn district court in Kyiv last week. The former president is accused of treason and of facilitating Russian aggression in Ukraine.
The notifications were sent on November 28.
On November 28, an interrogation of the former president Victor Yanukovych took place concerning the murder of 39 activists during the Euromaidan revolution.
During a nearly six-hour interrogation, Yanukovych responded to the questions of the prosecutor, defense lawyers and the relatives of the “Heavenly Hundreds”.
