Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office publishes subpoenas to over 700 judges, prosecutors and officials

The Governmental Courier governmental newspaper and the Voice of Ukraine parliamentary newspaper published the subpoenas to 727 judges, prosecutors and other state officials who are suspected of high treason.

This was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.

Thanks to the amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On Prosecutor’s Office’, passed by the Verkhovna Rada, conviction for serious crimes in absentia was simplified. It has started. 327 judges, 299 employees of prosecutor’s offices, 134 members of the Sevastopol city council and the Parliament of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, 11 representatives of the self-proclaimed authorities of Crimea are among perpetrators of the offences under Article 110 (Trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability) and Article 111 (High Treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” he posted on his Facebook page.

The first subpoenas to 727 people have already been printed in the Governmental Courier and the Voice of Ukraine newspapers. Payback time comes for everything!” he added.
