The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine is preparing updated and amended Maidan case files, which, in particular, contain information about ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, to submit them to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Serhiy Horbatiuk, the Head of the Special Investigations Department at the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, said this on the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

Responding to a question about whether the Prosecutor General’s Office is ready to further defend Ukraine’s interests in Maidan cases in the international courts, he said:

The Prosecutor General’s Office continues to work to submit the updated documents to the International Criminal Court. The documents were previously submitted, but the court did not accept them and give an opportunity to submit them additionally.”

Horbatiuk noted that the court had not accepted the documents as it pointed out the need to provide additional evidence of “large-scale and systematic” actions and crimes jeopardizing the society.

Earlier, the charges within investigation into seven criminal proceedings were brought against Viktor Yanukovych.
