East SOS volunteer and serviceman, Mykola Sirenko, was killed in combat in the Donetsk Region
Mykola Sirenko, a 21-year-old volunteer for the charity foundation East SOS and a serviceman with the call sign “STRIKE,” has been killed in action in the Donetsk region, as reported by East SOS’s Facebook.

“You did not stand aside. Your heart was big, sincere, and strong. You always found words of support for others, even when it was difficult for you. Thank you for everything you did and your example, strength, and light. You died while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk region. Eternal memory… Always remembered, always in our hearts…” wrote Yevheniia Tkachuk, the East SOS evacuation coordinator on Facebook.
According to the organisation, Mykola Sirenko joined East SOS at age 19 and quickly became a key member of the evacuation team, demonstrating dedication and determination.
“His desire to help, despite his youth, was boundless. He dreamed, believed, and acted, and his heart beat to make the world a better place,” his colleagues shared in their memories of the colleague.

In February 2023, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Special Purpose Detachment.
Earlier, Oleksii Savkevych, an interpreter, volunteer, co-founder of the public organizations “Syla Idey” and “Musical Guard,” organizer of the “Avdiivka FM” festival, and a fighter of the 157th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed at the front.
