The report from the slain Russian opposition leader, Boris Nemtsov, on the presence of Russian troops in Ukraine will be presented on May 12th.

This was announced on the Facebook page of Ilya Yashin, a member of the Political Council of RPR-Parnas (Republican Party of Russia – People’s Freedom Party). The party was co-chaired by Russian politician Boris Nemtsov until his murder on February 27th in the center of Moscow, near the Kremlin.

“We have finished work on the report, which is titled ‘Putin.War.’ We will release the first edition over the May Day celebrations,” wrote Ilya Yashin.

According to him, the presentation will take place in Moscow at the party office on May 12th.

Earlier, in an interview with BBC Russia, Yashin said, “We are not going to try to convince Western or Ukrainian audiences of the presence of Russian troops (in Ukraine – ed.). It is not a secret for them.  But, for Russian citizens, the information that will be contained in the report will, in many respects, be a revelation.”

The report tells of the presence of Russian troops in Donbass and the extent of the loss of their lives over the period of the armed conflict. Nemtsov’s teammates were assisted in their information gathering by people representing relatives of the dead Russian soldiers who are not being paid the promised compensation. According to one version of events, Nemtsov could have been killed because of his work on this report.
