The Education and Science Ministry of Ukraine has approved the list of schools, which may accept external and distance learners from Crimea.

Such schools exist in each region and each district of Kyiv.

The Ministry has also identified the managers who will be responsible for teaching the Crimean residents.

After Crimea had been annexed, the school and university students have faced the problem of getting education as Ukraine and other world countries do not recognize certificates and diplomas issued in Crimea. To get Ukrainian documents, the Crimean children had to undergo a difficult and uncomfortable procedure for re-certification requiring regular trips to the mainland.
