Militants to pardon more than 2,000 prisoners, having no food for them
The armed separatists in Luhansk are going to pardon more than 2,000 convicts, who serve sentence on the occupied territories. The Russian-backed separatists have no food for prisoners.
Chairman of the Luhansk Military and Civil Administration Heorhiy Tuka posted this information on Facebook.
The official says that the militants do not take into account the agreements on transfer of prisoners and do not intend to give the Ukrainian side the criminal cases of these people.
“The convicts do not burst to go into action. However, trying to enter the territory of Ukraine, these people are detained by border guards. Then the most incredible thing begins. They have no documents, no records of criminal cases, no court decisions on detention. They have almost nothing we can rely on,” Heorhiy Tuka explains.
As reported, July 22, the participants of the Trilateral Contact Group agreed on transfer of prisoners from the occupied territory into the prisons on the territories, controlled by Ukraine.
