“Sharing Heritage” is the title of the European Culture Heritage Year 2018. Along those lines there is going to take place a European participation and encounter project ”Lab Europe” from the 16th to 26th of August in the city of peace Osnabrück. The participation for that project is possible for 18 to 25 years old people from the now 38 cities that were awarded with the European Culture Heritage Seal. Except for a participation fee at the amount of 100 Euro the costs will be taken care of by the city of Osnabrück.

The common creative work from the participants will take place in five so called labs or workshops, in which figuratively speaking something ”divides” and ”cultures” grow.

Therefore, there will be labs in different fields like art, history, performance, music as well as media and games offered. The participants deal with the European values and the challenges that Europe is being faced with. They deal with questions about the individual and national safety, with the history and present of Europe while developing a perspective for a future Europe. Professional partners like the ”Theater Osnabrück”, the ”Kunsthalle Osnabrück” or the Institute for Music  lead the labs.

The communication language will be English.

Interested young adults can apply for participation until the 15th of May 2018. More information on the organization for the project, the topics of the labs, the conditions for application as well as contact details can be found on the website www.lab-europe-osnabrueck.de.

We are looking forward to numerous applications to lab.europe@osnabrueck.de
