Kyiv city still lacks patrol police officers, and the National Police cannot solve this problem still.

Head of the National Police of Ukraine Khatia Dekanoidze said this while delivering a speech dedicated to the first anniversary of launch of the patrol police in Ukraine, Espreso.TV reports.

We lack patrol police officers. Unfortunately, we cannot hire new officers as the city council has not given us the members of police commissions who are defined in the law on the National Police. Is it a problem? Yes, it is a problem,” she said.

Dekanoidze expressed the hope that the day would come when the politics would not affect the operation of the National Police.

The Head of the National Police also said that the main achievement of the new police was their fundamental difference from the law enforcement authorities of the old sample.
