In Donbass militants are holding 121 Ukrainians in captivity
As it is known, terrorists are holding 121 people hostage in the occupied part of the Donbass.
As reported by press-service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, this was stated by Iryna Herashchenko, Representative of Ukraine in the Humanitarian Subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group.
At a meeting of the Public Council on Cooperation with Religious Organizations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine she, in particular, emphasized the complex process of releasing hostages that are illegally held in the territories of certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Herashchenko noted that, as of today, there are 121 people known to be held by terrorists in places of captivity in the Donbass.
As a reminder, on March 24, Yuriy Tandyt, Advisor to the Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), reported that 118 hostages are being held in Donetsk and Luhansk.
Also, according to the update information of the SBU, currently 418 people are on the list of missing persons.
On March 1, Iryna Herashchenko, Representative of Ukraine in the Humanitarian Subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group, expressed her hope that representatives of the UN will soon show the statements of people from the ORDLO (Certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions) lists, who refuse to return to the occupied territory, and that this will possibly help unlock the hostage exchange process.
