People continue to disappear in the occupied territories
People continue to disappear on the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, which are temporarily outside of Ukraine’s control.
As reported by Hromadske Radio, this was stated by Yevhen Zakharov, Director of the Kharkiv Human Rights Group.
According to the report “Observance of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms on the Territory of the Quasi-State of the “DPR”, the main thing in the so-called “legislations” of the “DPR” and “LPR” is the inability to freely express the view of what is happening in uncontrolled territories if it differs from the official doctrine adopted in the “LDPR”.
“If a person starts expressing on his/her blog, then they start repressing him. There were several such cases. These people are detained, accused of extremism, forced to repent”, – noted Zakharov.
“The most terrible thing is that people continue to disappear there. And the corpses of these people are found. Who abducted them and why they were killed? Nothing is known, there were no actual investigations”, – said the human rights defender.
