The so-called “prosecutor’s office” of Crimea checks the facts of blasting transmission towers and extorting money from drivers for the ride.

As the “Kerch FM” Crimean news website reports, the so-called “prosecutor” of Crimea Natalia Poklonska announced “the launch of a number of criminal cases over illegal activities on the border with Ukraine under the general code name ‘the blockade of Crimea’.”

The law enforcement agencies are working to expose all the activists and members of the so-called blockade – the citizens who violate the law with respect to everybody,” she said. “The criminal proceedings have been initiated over some facts. The pre-investigation activities have been carried out over other cases.”

According to Poklonska, in particular, the law enforcement officers check the facts of blasting transmission towers for the so-called energy blockade of Crimea and extorting money from drivers to cross the administrative border.

As reported, the leading mass media of Crimea and Sevastopol received the letter from the Internal Policy, Information and Communications Ministry of the Republic of Crimea with the reference to “prosecutor” of Crimea Natalia Poklonska. It was recommended not to mention the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people in the news stories, articles and interviews as it had not been registered in the Russian Federation and was considered to be the non-existent organization.

September 20, the ongoing campaign to block the trucks carrying food products to Crimea, initiated by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, was launched. The campaign of the Crimean Tatars is aimed at releasing the Ukrainian political prisoners held in Russia and ceasing persecutions against activists and journalists in the occupied peninsula.
