British journalist is undergoing surgery in Ukraine. His eyes are severely injured

British journalist Christopher Nunn, who was injured in Avdiivka, is undergoing surgery in Ukraine.

As reported by the correspondent of the Human Rights Information Centre, this was stated by Oksana Gavrilyuk, the Head of the Communications and Press Office of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, today during a conference in Kyiv.

“His condition is stable. He is currently undergoing surgery. He has severe eye injuries and concussion. There are all possibilities to successfully carry out this surgery in Ukraine”, – she said.

According to her, it was possible for the Ministry of Defense to quickly identify him and transfer to the hospital in Dnipro, due to the fact that journalist informed about his path.

As a reminder, British photographer Christopher Nunn suffered an injury during an attack of Russian-occupational troops on Avdiivka in the evening of February 2. He was taken to the 66th military hospital with an injury to the left eye; he was examined and transferred to Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital in the city of Dnipro where he was given professional medical attention.
