Journalists of the “Nashi groshi” (Our Money) received a lawyer’s request with a demand to provide personal information to journalists who were preparing a story about the business transactions of Pavlo Demchyna, Deputy Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine.

As reported on the website of the project, publishing the request itself.

“In the opinion of the party protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizen Demchyna P.V., the above-mentioned primary audiovisual work and all its derivatives contain knowingly inaccurate information in the form of factual allegations that degrade his dignity, honor and business reputation”, – as stated in the request.

Demchyna’s lawyer Dmytro Pourlynskyi demands to provide data, in particular “information about the place of registration / residence, passport data and actual means of communication” not only of the journalists who authored the story, but also the owners of the websites www.bihus.info, www.zik.ua, www. Nashigroshi.org, as well as those who provide domain names for these websites.

The main reason for the accusations and the “primary audiovisual work” is an investigation into the export of nuts and participation of special services in this “In search of a worm SBU stopped the export of nuts”.

“Lawyer Pourlynskyi is on the Lustration list of the Maidan as an investigator, who conducted cases against 9 activists accused of “organizing mass riots”, but in fact they were severely beaten by “Berkut”, – as reported by journalists.

As a reminder, in the autumn of 2015, the journalists of the “Nashi groshi” program found out that Pavlo Demchyna, while having the status of Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the SBU, initiated measures that led to the halt of walnut exports under the pretext of having “quarantine organisms” in them.

The State Phytosanitary Service reported to the “Nashi groshi” program that they have never detected any “quarantine organisms” in Ukrainian nuts.
